Machinist and shop instructor at Florida Tech, maintaining lathes, mills, and CNCs while training students on safe machine operation and supporting Capstone projects, including biprop combustion chambers and nozzles.

Sole machinist responsible for fabrication across multiple rocketry projects, including nozzles, liners, and nose cone tips.

Designed and implemented the first official Scholarship Plan in the chapter, including academic counseling for members on probation. Increased the chapter GPA for one semester from 2.98 to 3.26, then 3.23 the next semester.

Held down the club’s logistical end of things: reserved meeting spaces, managed the club calendar in Google, kept minutes for each meeting held, and made sure all club-related notifications were communicated via Engage. Created the club’s Discord page, assisted with officer elections, and helped design the club’s Spring Integral Bee.

There is no job description for the VP yet. I would like to develop a plan that includes the creation of a pipeline for onboarding new members, a regular speaker/alumni event connecting our students to careers related to math, and a rotating peer tutoring program leveraging the academics of the club.
